Terms of Service

Last updated: April 30, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SiteLetter, a website monitoring service operated by Donatas Petrauskas under individuali veikla (individual activity) registered in Lithuania ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or using SiteLetter at siteletter.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

SiteLetter provides automated website monitoring, including:

  • Lighthouse performance, accessibility, SEO, and best practices audits
  • Visual screenshot monitoring and change detection
  • SSL certificate and domain expiry monitoring
  • Uptime monitoring
  • Broken link detection
  • Email alerts and scheduled reports

We may modify, add, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • One person or organization may not maintain more than one free trial account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to monitor websites you do not own or have authorization to monitor.
  • Attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits or abuse free trials.
  • Use automated means to create accounts or interact with the Service outside of our documented API.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

4.1 Free Trial

We offer a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. When the trial ends, your active scans will pause until you subscribe to a paid plan. Your historical scan data remains accessible in read-only mode. Each person or organization may take this trial once.

4.2 Paid Plans

  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe.
  • Pricing is per monitored hostname (website) per month, as displayed on our pricing page at the time of purchase.
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

4.3 Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or Stripe's customer portal.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access until then.
  • We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

4.4 Price Changes

We may change our pricing at any time. If we increase prices, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before the change takes effect. You may cancel before the new price applies.

5. Website Monitoring

  • You may only add websites that you own or have explicit authorization to monitor.
  • Our monitoring tools access your websites using standard HTTP requests and headless browsers, similar to search engine crawlers.
  • We respect robots.txt directives when discovering pages via sitemap. Uptime, SSL, and domain-expiry probes access the root URL and public certificate/WHOIS/RDAP data only; they do not crawl internal pages.
  • We store screenshots, scan results, and performance data to provide the Service. This data is associated with your account and not shared with other users.
  • We automatically select pages to monitor from your website's sitemap, up to your plan's page limit.

If you use the Service on behalf of a third party (for example, an agency monitoring a client's website), you confirm that you have authority to do so. For any personal data collected from websites you monitor or recipients you invite, you are the data controller and SiteLetter acts as your data processor. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available on request — email support@siteletter.com and we'll send you our standard DPA for signing.

White-label and agency branding: SiteLetter offers an optional white-label mode that hides the “Powered by SiteLetter” attribution from client-facing surfaces (scheduled reports, public report pages, and alert emails) and displays your agency's logo, wordmark, and brand color in its place. White-label is a presentation setting only. It does not change the underlying legal relationship between you, your clients, and SiteLetter, does not transfer or alter any obligations under the DPA referenced above, and does not change how monitoring data is collected, processed, or stored. You are solely responsible for the content of any logo, wordmark, or brand color you configure, including ensuring you have the right to use them and that they do not infringe third-party rights or mislead recipients about the nature of the Service.

6. Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

  • You retain ownership of your website content. We claim no ownership over the websites you monitor.
  • You grant us a limited license to access, screenshot, and analyze your websites solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through your account settings.

7. Availability and Support

  • We aim to keep the Service available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
  • We may perform scheduled maintenance that temporarily affects availability.
  • Scan results depend on third-party tools (Lighthouse, headless browsers) and may vary. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any specific scan result.
  • Support is provided via email at support@siteletter.com.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission. This clause does not apply to customer data, which you retain in full as described in Section 6.

The SiteLetter name and logo are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that scan results will be accurate or complete.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities.
  • Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your monitoring of websites you are not authorized to monitor

11. Termination

  • You may close your account at any time through your account settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lithuania, unless EU consumer protection regulations require otherwise.

If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
